Sheltered Reality performs at church services 2 different ways, either a short overview of SR (typically 20 minutes including 2 songs often done as prelude and postlude) or a 40 minute version of our typically longer show done as the middle of the service with typical church service components before and after our portion).

We ask for either our normal show fee ($495), a freewill offering, or any combination of these that works for each churches particular situation. Please note that we always know those booking us have different budgets, and show fees are always negotiable, please do not hesitate to contact us about this.

School shows are THE place where Sheltered Reality delivers our messages of hard work, choosing positivity, overcoming obstacles, kindness and acceptance of others, and other positive character education topics to our target audience of K thru 12th grade youth!

Our typical school show is 60 to 70 minutes long and we prefer 70 as this allows the complete Rhythm In Color section (second half of each assembly and schools' favorite part for years now!) to be presented without having to rush through this fun and rhythmically beautiful section!

Our school shows are high energy, highly interactive, fun for every age group, and are effective at presenting how all of us can affect positive change in the world simply by doing the things we love doing for others!

We use an innovative combination of music, high-energy choreographed percussion routines and special effects to grab the attention of youth. As the assembly progresses the intent is to build on each preceding strategy, eventually reaching the moment that brings home the point of choosing positivity over negativity in our daily interactions.

Show fees are negotiable if need be to fit your budget, don't hesitate to let us know!

SR is often asked to perform at educational and other professional conferences, and/or conduct workshops. Our presentation can be of any length.

If we are doing our typical show that reflects our school assemblies, our show fee is $495 or negotiable to fit your budget.

If you would like the show plus hands on drum workshops and question and answer sessions about SR and our research based methodology, we ask you add $100 per workshop.

Our summer calendar is usually filled with performances at town festivals, county fairs, state fairs and other celebratory events. For our summer events, we can perform anywhere from 45 to 75 minutes for a fee of $495. We bring a lot of energy and fun to every performance, but we still include the message.  For an additional fee of $100 we can be a part of your parade as well - we will need you to provide a full-size flatbed trailer, a driver for the float, and a 3500 watt (minimum) generator

Sheltered Reality is a drum group for all ages young and old. The group has practice sites across the Midwest and hundreds of members overall. The first step of the journey is to Take A Chance, come to a few practices and find out what it means to be part of SR. Our drummers share the goals of (a) being the best you can be, (b) learning to work with others, (c) learning to help empower success in our audiences, and (d) learning to effect positive change in the world.  Coming to a few practices will help you discover if this is something that fits your life and makes sense in your heart. So, Take A Chance!!
